Tanu Weds Manu

Directed By: Anand L. Rai

Written By: Himanshu Sharma

Cast: R. Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut, Jimmy Shergill

I like Kangana Ranuat. I liked her in many movies but even then there was nothign about this movie that made me want to watch it. The only reason I watched this movie was because it was avaialble for free on Dish TV and I did not have much to do on one of those days.

The movie is about a doctor, Manu who has returned from somewhere outside India (I think London) and coz of his parents is going around seeing girls for marriage. He lands up at Tanu’s house and falls in love with her on first sight. Tanu incidentaly doesn’t even see Manu since she is totally knocked out due to her Vodka shots. The marriage is finalized and both parties decide to go to Vaishno Devi before the two get engaged. On the train Tanu shows her true self asking Manu to refuse the marriage since she has a boyfriend and she wants to marry him. Read Further

But what did force me to think about watching this movie was its review in Hindustan Times. And when I did pick it up, was I impressed? An initial no which slowly turned in an emphatic yes.

When the movie started, I couldn’t understand what was happening around but when I started to get a hang of things, it turned out to be just awesome. Read Further
