Twitter recently banned some of twitter apps and there was an uproar in twitter. Well, twitter is famous for uproars, isn’t it. Iran, Tunisia, Egypt n all. That just got me thinking, if a twitter app dies, there is an outcry but what if twitter dies? What would happen then? Read Further

Why not in India?

People get married, you understand. People go to honeymoon, you understand. But why do people go outside India for honeymoon? Is it that they have seen everything in India or is it that they find that India is not as beautiful as abroad?

Is it the tourist industry which puts you off? Or is it the cost factor? Or is it that they just want a break which supposedly cannot happen in the country?

Honestly, I don’t understand. And I really want to understand. If someone can answer me, please do.

Don’t mess with kids…

My kid is fond of coloring books. He loves getting a new coloring book and finishing it off as soon as possible.

Are you really happy?

When was the last time you were really happy? Not the usual happy but really really happy. And not happy because its your birthday or something. Happy for something totally out of the blue.

Recently, the road of my street got laid after being in pathetic condition for ages. As soon as the road is ready to be driven on, all the kids of the street take out their bicycles and start driving on the road enjoying it to the fullest. Those kids includes my 3 year old who drove his bicycle for the first time on the road.

I should have clicked the pic of all those kids to really show how happy they were. Honestly, I don’t remember the last time I was this happy for such a small thing.

As for the adults of the street – everyone is cribbing about the quality of the road. See the difference?

PS: Every day when I reach home, the first thing kiddo says is that he wants to drive his bike on the road even if its really chilly and dark. All he wants is to enjoy the road till its in good condition.

Whose fault is it?

Usually people are happy at their birthdays. But somehow whenever my wifey’s birthday comes along, she is not happy. Reason being that since 1997 (thats when we started dating), there has barely been a time when I was with her on her birthday.

College time:

Before our marriage, we were in a long distance relationship. During my college time, my college used to open up right around her birthday and it was nearly impossible to be with her on that day specially considering that we were 250 kms apart.

Job time before marriage:

We broke up right when I started working and her birthday passed by. Soon after patch up she came closer to my place but I moved to place even farther. If earlier the distance was 250 kms by road, now it was at least 2 hrs by flight and then another 2 hrs by road. No luck this time around as well. Read Further

Its a small world n a weird one at that

I never believed in this theory that it’s a small world. I always thought that if you want to hide from somebody, you sure can since it’s a big world. But many a times things happen that make you think it really is a small world.

I am right now on a business trip to US and the best thing about people in US that I find is that every time you pass by a person, that person would definitely smile at you or wish you. These people do not care about race, caste, color, religion or anything at all. They will just plain smile and wish at you. Some of them might even strike a conversation with you, sometimes out of curiosity as to where you are from and sometimes just like that. Read Further
