I like Kangana Ranuat. I liked her in many movies but even then there was nothign about this movie that made me want to watch it. The only reason I watched this movie was because it was avaialble for free on Dish TV and I did not have much to do on one of those days.
The movie is about a doctor, Manu who has returned from somewhere outside India (I think London) and coz of his parents is going around seeing girls for marriage. He lands up at Tanu’s house and falls in love with her on first sight. Tanu incidentaly doesn’t even see Manu since she is totally knocked out due to her Vodka shots. The marriage is finalized and both parties decide to go to Vaishno Devi before the two get engaged. On the train Tanu shows her true self asking Manu to refuse the marriage since she has a boyfriend and she wants to marry him.
Manu does the same but since he can’t get her our of his head, he is unable to find any interest in any other girl. One of Manu’s friend decides to marry one of Tanu’s friend and fate brings both of them together. Various events make them cross their paths and results in things improving between the two but still no sign of Tanu accepting Manu’s love. And we all know what happens or should happen in the end.
The basic problem with the movie is the storyline but what is more problematic is waste of talented actors. For one, Madhavan is a great actor and he is totally wasted here and so is Kangana (if you consider her to be an actor). Both these actors barely have a role to play in the movie even though the entire story is based around their characters. Also, Kangana’s character is shown to be a rebel but either she just doesn’t cut in that character or the role is not suited for her.
Overall I would say avoid the movie if you can
I would rate it 1/5
