After defeating the Decepticons in the first installment of the Transformer series, Optimus Prime now leads NEST, a military organization consisting of human troops and his autobots who together try to kill the remaining Decepticons on Earth and protect the Earth from any further attacks.
On the other hand, Sam (Shia LaBeouf) finds a piece of the AllSpark which causes him to see weird symbols. Mikaela (Megan Fox) can’t attend college with Sam due to money constraints and works with her dad. Optimus dies in a fight with Megatron and Sam becomes a target of the Decepticons.
It is further revealed that long time ago ancient Transformers placed Sun Harvesters to eat up energy from stars for their use but used to spare planets with life on them. But one of them built a Sun Harvester on Earth, so the rest of them sacrifice their life to hide the Matrix of Leadership – the key that activates the Sun Harvester.
The story of the movie leaves a lot to be desired. There are a lot of new characters introduced in the movie. The two twin autobots are supposed to be hip but are actually very lame. There are loads of effects and action scenes are fast paced but everything seems to be broken way too many times to trigger a romance which was never there. If you are a real Transformers fan, you won’t actually care for the romance. And if you care for Megan Fox, she doesn’t look that hot in the movie. Overall its a disappointment.
2/5 for me.
Would I watch it again: Nooooo
